"SHOKADO": A box of dreams filled with 9 stories
Shokado is named after a monk from Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine in the early Edo period. At the time, the box was used to hold painting tools or as a tobacco tray. Later, Teiichi Yuki, the founder of the famous restaurant Kitcho, adapted it to serve cha-kaiseki (traditional tea ceremony cuisine), creating the original form of today’s Shokado Bento.
We’ve created our own original SHOKADO BOX.
“A little bit of everything delicious.”
In each of those “little bites,” we’ve packed the story of the ingredients and our story.
Through the flavors, we hope you can feel the land. The taste paints a landscape, and the lingering finish leads you deeper into the experience.
We want our guests to enjoy the meal as if they’re traveling through the places where the ingredients were born.
Please take your time and enjoy each of the nine unique stories, one bite at a time.
